DreamGF or Candy AI: two visual companions, very different price clarity
Both products put character creation and image-driven interaction near the centre. If your decision is mostly about what to generate, you should compare their editors using a matched fictional brief. If your decision is mostly about what it will cost, DreamGF publishes a useful token tariff while Candy AI lists monthly tokens and qualifying uses but not one universal media price for every account.
What the providers actually publish
DreamGF’s pricing page advertises 100 tokens monthly within membership. It currently lists 20 tokens to generate a companion, 10 per image, 3 per voice message, and 7 tokens per minute of voice calling. These are provider-published values, not a guarantee about a particular discounted checkout. The same page labels plans in a confusing way: one item called ‘3-Month Membership’ displays an introductory and monthly renewal amount, while a ‘Monthly Membership’ item displays a three-month renewal. We therefore will not reinterpret its displayed periods into a clean price claim. Ask the checkout to clarify the actual billing interval before paying.
Candy AI’s help articles say paid users have unlimited chat and 100 new tokens each month. Token-powered uses include custom AI creation, image/video generation and voice. They do not establish a fixed token price for every image or call in the material reviewed. A side-by-side ‘100 tokens = 100 tokens’ assumption would therefore be meaningless: a token is a unit defined by its own provider.
| Feature or cost | DreamGF | Candy AI |
|---|---|---|
| Paid recurring token allowance | 100 monthly on pricing page | 100 monthly in help centre |
| Character generation | 20 tokens advertised | Custom AI creation uses tokens; confirm amount |
| Image generation | 10 tokens per image advertised | Charge depends on tool; check in account |
| Voice | 3 tokens per message; 7/minute on pricing page | Token-priced voice features; no universal rate verified |
| Subscription term | Pricing copy has potentially ambiguous period labels | Confirm actual introductory, renewal and annual terms at checkout |
A worked DreamGF scenario
At its published unit charges, five images cost 50 tokens. A five-minute voice call uses 35 tokens, leaving 15 from a 100-token allocation, assuming no other token activity. Creating a new companion first would consume another 20 tokens and push that total beyond the included 100. These calculations are illustrative and depend on the pricing page remaining accurate at the moment of purchase.
Candy AI requires a different calculation: identify the exact chosen generation tool in the account and record its token quote. If a custom character incurs tokens, include that setup charge. Then do the same five images and five call minutes. This is the only responsible way to compare media affordability without inventing a token exchange rate.
The creative test should be non-explicit and repeatable
Create the same wholly fictional adult character description on each site. Use a neutral scene such as a person reading beside a train window on a rainy evening. Request the same outfit, lighting and camera perspective, then change exactly one attribute. Compare whether the generated character remains recognisably consistent; whether the service understands adjustments; how many retries are needed; and whether failed generations still cost tokens. If you cannot try a comparable prompt before paying, mark the output-quality comparison unresolved rather than giving one service an arbitrary score.
Also inspect whether images are public, private or shareable, whether you can remove generated material, and whether reference photos of real people are permitted. Our own comparison does not reproduce explicit preview imagery or embed third-party galleries.
Price and language considerations for UK buyers
A UK buyer should evaluate renewal terms in pounds at the actual payment screen and retain a copy of the offer. DreamGF’s published introductory and recurring example amounts vary greatly, so clarifying the billing period is essential. Candy AI’s 100-token allowance is not a promise of free multimedia beyond the token budget. Neither provider’s English-language marketing establishes how well a custom character speaks French, German or Spanish; test each separately if voice-language quality matters.
Verdict
DreamGF is easier to model per action on paper, but its displayed subscription labels deserve extra scrutiny. Candy AI may suit users who prefer its character library and mostly text-based interaction, provided they check the price of the extra tools they actually want. We cannot choose an image-quality winner without controlled output samples, nor a cheapest UK provider without confirmed checkouts.
